Raymond and Dorothy Moore (both deceased) were founders of The Moore Foundation, a homeschooling organization. He held a Ph.D. in child development from the University of Southern California, and his professional career included roles as a public school teacher, a principal, and a consultant for Congress and the White House. The Moores served as missionaries in Japan following World War II and co-authored numerous books together. They were married for 64 years until her death in 2002. Raymond passed away recently, in July, 2007. They have two children and three grandchildren.
