Guest Biography
Elaine Donnelly is the president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent public policy organization that concentrates on military personnel issues. She has written articles about the military which have appeared in national newspapers such as the Washington Post and USA Today. In 1984, Elaine was appointed by Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services, and in 1992, President George H.W. Bush appointed her to the Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces. Elaine and her husband, Terry, reside in Michigan and have two grown daughters.
